Madonna Notches 43rd No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs

Madonna earns her record-extending 43rd No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart, as 'Turn Up the Radio' lifts 2-1. (The ranking will refresh on Billboard.com Thursday, Aug. 30.)

'Radio' is Madonna's third Dance/Club Play Songs No. 1 from 'MDNA,' which bowed atop the Billboard 200 the week of April 14. 'Give Me All Your Luvin',' featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., led the week of March 31, while 'Girl Gone Wild' reached No. 1 just three weeks later.

'Radio' is headed for radio, too: Interscope Records begins seeking airplay for the song at mainstream top 40 stations on Sept. 25.

With her 43rd leading title on Dance/Club Play Songs, Madonna pulls further away from runner-up Janet Jackson, who has 19. Beyonce and Rihanna follow with 18 No. 1s each, trailed by Kristine W (16) and Mariah Carey (15).
Looking forward, with one more No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs, the Material Girl would claim even more historic honors.

Upon her latest coronation, Madonna is now one No. 1 away from tying George Strait's record for the most toppers on any single Billboard chart. The King of Country has sat at the Country Songs chart's throne with 44 titles between 1981 and 2009. With one more No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs, the Queen of Pop would tie Strait for unmatched Billboard chart royalty.

Given her multi-format appeal, as opposed to Strait's status as a country-exclusive act (and an unparalleled one, at that), Madonna leads not only Strait but also all artists for the most No. 1s on all Billboard charts combined. With 'Radio' ruling Dance/Club Play Songs, Madonna logs her record-extending 156th leader on an active, current-based domestic Billboard survey.

Kelly Osbourne Madonna's new Material Girl

Madonna has traded in Taylor Momsen for a new model to front her Material Girl clothing line, Kelly Osbourne!

Ms O has signed up to front the superstar singer's collection, which she designs alongside 14-year-old daughter Lourdes. It is expected that Kelly will star in ads for the brand and take part in promotional events.

A statement confirmed the news this week: 'Material Girl is thrilled to confirm that Kelly Osbourne is the new face for 2011! We will be sharing all the details on this exciting new campaign in the upcoming weeks.'
Momsen was the label's first spokesperson, launching the collection alongside the mother-daughter design pair at Macy's last year.

The move is another blow for the 17-year-old Gossip Girl, who was reportedly suspended from the hit show due to a run of bad behaviour. Her character, Jenny Humphrey, has been relegated from a series regular, appearing only occasionally during the current run.

Madonna search for a new Material Girl

Madonna is searching for a new model for her clothing line. The 52-year-old singer launched her Material Girl collection - which is aimed at teenage girls - last year with 'Gossip Girl' star Taylor Momsen promoting the brand but, according to a posting on the company's official website, Madonna is looking for a new ambassador.
Next to a picture of 17-year-old Taylor an advert proclaims. 'Desperately seeking Material Girl'.

It goes on to add, 'Living in a material world and we need material girls. Looking for the hottest girl on the scene, she is never afraid'.

The posting encourages visitors to the site to vote for who they think should become the next face of the collection.

Madonna worked on the Material Girl line with her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes and admitted the youngster brought much of her own personal style to the collection.

She revealed: 'I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine.'

Madonna is invited for a performance at the VMA 2010

MTV has sent an invitation to Madonna for her 2010 VMA opening in Los Angeles on September 12. The opening performance was meant to be a threesome between the queen of pop, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. But Britney working on her new album announced that he would be present at the ceremony. So it could be a duet with Lady is still possible, because we know that Madonna has very good relations with her.

We sincerely believe that participation by Madonna at this point would be somewhat believable, plus she is directing "WE". A performance with Lady Gaga also is somewhat believable but hopefully even more news.

Madonna's Daughter sense of Style

Lourdes Leon, daughter of queen of pop Madonna surprised a lot with her curious and strange look which is very "dark".

Lourdes, 13, was spotted visiting her mom who is recording her first film "We" as a director. Her eyes outlined in black and was wearing dark stockings. Also wore combat boots and a small shirt.

However, what caught my attention from the paparazzi was the bracelet with a marijuana leaf.
